Literature Text

Upon the highest hills of bright green from the mucky washed out colours of the towns below the young little rascal was playing with her mother right beside the blossom tree, it's vibrant colours of the petals flowing through the direction of the wing. The mother, who is a Floatzel with bright red, but friendly, relaxed eyes, called for her Buizel daughter to come back to her. The little rascal pretended like she didn't hear her mother calling for her, as she ran down the opposite side of the hill, down to the lake, badly wanting to go for her first swim. Such an odd child she was, she never thought first, always doing what her heart guides to.

Giggling, she finally approached the lake and stopped on the last bit of dirt before she got her feet wet. She couldn't keep still from all the excitement as she was jumping in place like a jack-in-a-box, only she wasn't scary, but cute. "I wanna play in the water!" she said about 9 times in a row before her mother came towards her. The mother just wanted to go home and have a nice cup of tea, but How could her mother not say no to those big golden eyes of hers? She didn't get those eyes from her or her own father who sadly passed away. After all, his eyes were yellow, not gold. "Only if you promise you won't go too far from mammy, dear." She replied as she patted her head, pressing down on her hair which always returned back to how it usually looks (even after getting wet or with hair products), with one hair strand always spiking upwards to the sky. "I promise, mum!" She replied in an adventure-ish tone.

It was a perfect time for swimming, with the sun at the highest point in the sky, reflecting from the clear crystal water below. Beyond the lake was a forest that her old friend used to train in before the gang parted ways years ago. She misses those days dearly, wishing she could spend one more day with the gang again, for old time sake. The little rascal looks up to her mother's face and asks in a curious tone "What's wrong, Mammy?" With those big golden eyes. She snapped out of her day dream and replied to the young one "Nothing dear, nothing."

Taking the young ones paw, they both stepped into the water at the same time, unlike many Pokemon who aren't water types, they didn't feel how cold it was, the water felt fine to them, not too hot or too cold. Finally their bodies were in the water, only their heads were above it. The young ones yellow collar inflated, she used it as a flotation device to keep her above the water. Her mother had no need to do this as she was an expert at swimming. "Stay close to me, Izzy" the mother said to her child. The rascal, known as Izzy, nodded while smiling, she could hardly hide how happy she was.

The mother, called Iris, showed her child how to swim, drive and spin her two tails to go faster. Izzy was oddly good at this for her age, only being 6 years old at this point. She wasn't good many things though, especially when interacting with others. She's just too shy, unable to open up to anyone else, but her own mother, who is unsure how to help her child open up. She wouldn't even let Usha (a female Espeon who is one of Iris' closes friends) hold her or even come close to her. She always cried as a baby when someone else was holding her. This frightens Iris, because what if she was no longer around to protect her daughter? She would have to relay on Usha, Deaven (a male Umbreon who is married to Usha), Zanick (Lucario who has his own kids) or Iris' own parents who mostly care about their own family legacy. Her family had always been famous for their musical talents, if any family member wasn't talented their parents would disown them. If Izzy doesn't have any musical talent she will be in trouble if left in their care. Iris doesn't care about their stupid rule, she will always love Izzy, even if it means getting disowned herself. That's one thing she and her friends had in common. All their parents or guardians were horrible Pokemon, but in different ways.

Whenever Iris was in deep thought her eyes would always be fixed on something for a while. Right now her eyes was fixed on the forest on the other side of the lake. A petal from the blossom tree fell in front of her eye sight, snapping her out of it as she shakes her head. Izzy wasn't around her, like she promised. Iris panicked, looking around the lake for her child, going from worried to being terrified. "Izzy! Izzy! Izzzyyyyy!" She yelled as loud as she possibly could, worried sick, swimming around the lake as fast as possible. She was gone. Iris went to the blossom tree, she wasn't there, she went to the town, she wasn't there, she went to the forest on the other side of the lake, she wasn't there. She came back to the lake, crying her eyes out in her paws, grinding her teeth, unable to forgive herself.

Suddenly she felt a little paw on her arm. "Mammy? What's wrong?" She jumped in shock, seeing Izzy was back, and then grabbed her and hugged her tightly. "Don't do that again! You had me worried! Where have you been?!" She yelled, as it caused Izzy to cry. "I-I w-was in the water, mammy, I wanted to see the b-bottom!" She realized she didn't go underwater to check if she was there. After all most, if not all, water type Pokemon can breathe underwater. How stupid of her, she didn't think, she panicked and didn't consider that possibility.

Izzy didn't really break her promise, as she didn't leave the lake. She made her promise to never do that again. They went home shortly after, with a petal landing Izzy's hair while passing by the blossom tree.
I wasn't sure if I should have done this, but I've disappointed a few by not getting many pages done lately. Sorry, things happen.

Here's something Izzy fans may like. I don't plan to explain every detail until she meets Neon, but seeing what she was like as a child might be fun. I don't know if I'll continue this.
